Barcelona offers nearly 400 hotels with 35,000 hotel beds in different categories, from small privately owned hotels to international conference hotels so most of the hotel chains are represented in Barcelona. There is a number of very big hotels with their own conference centre and there are very classic hotels and also extremely modern and trendy hotels. Most of the hotels are located in the central part of Barcelona. Hotels in the old part of town are mostly relatively small; those in the newer ?Eixample? area are usually bigger and those near Paseo de Gracia are more luxurious. Additionally, there are also many hotels to be found at the beaches .
